New ELD Information
Zonar has upgraded our fleet to the newest ELD platform. This document will help make your transition smoother.
AOBRD Export
Do the following to clean up any logs on the old logging platform.
Click on the 9-Box icon at the bottom of the screen and select AOBRD Exporter
There are 3 boxes at the top of the screen. Click the Verify Edits to approve or reject any edits that have been made to your old logs. Click the Certify Logs to certify any pending logs. The Export Logs button does not apply to our current business.
New Layout
The new log layout is now much more useful. Click on the Zonar ELD Logs and you will be presented with these timers.
It now lists, down the second, time remaining for 11-hour driving, 14-hour shift duty time and the 70-hour/8-Day time. These times will always count down.
The Off Duty time is listed, and this will always count up. Since it now gives detail down to the second, you will be able to more easily tell when your 30-minute meal break, 10-hour rest break and 34-hour reset are complete.
Log Entries
As a driver, you own your logs and you are responsible for ensuring their accuracy by manually adding a new log entry or by editing existing log entries. For either case, you must type a reason with enough information to explain the log entry in the Notes field.
Unidentified Driving
You may be presented with an Unidentified Driving Log when changing duty status. Review the date and time. If this even was when you were driving but not logged into Zonar, select Accept. If this was not your drive time, select Reject.
Adding an Event
To add an event to a log, tap the Add an Event button.
Enter the Start Time, desired Duty Status, Vehicle Miles (if applicable), Location and a Note describing the reason for the new log entry.
Editing a Log
If a log entry needs to be edited, find the day and scroll down to the appropriate log and tap the pencil on the right side.
Change the details of the log to match the events that transpired.
Note: Driving events cannot be edited
Personal Conveyance
While off duty, if you need to move your vehicle for any non-work related reason, activate the Personal Conveyance feature. To do this, change your duty status to Off Duty and select Personal Conveyance in the popup box. You will have to add an annotation (ie “Moving out of the way of another vehicle”) and then press save. This will allow up to 5 miles of movement without affecting Off Duty time.
Active Malfunction Warning
There are a few things that can trigger this warning (especially during the first week of transition), but they are all related to communication from the ECM of the truck. As long as the logs match what you are expecting to see, this log can be ignored and will go away on its own.
If the logs do not look correct, begin to use paper logs as a backup and notify your dispatcher immediately.
